Massage FAQs
1. What should I expect during my first massage?
Your first session will begin with a brief consultation to discuss your health history, areas of tension, and your goals for the session. I’ll explain the techniques that might work best for you and tailor the massage to meet your needs. You’ll be fully draped throughout the session, and I’ll check in with you to ensure your comfort.

2. How often should I get a massage?
This depends on your personal needs and goals. For general relaxation, once or twice a month is common. If you're dealing with chronic pain or tension, weekly sessions may be beneficial at first, tapering off as improvements occur.

3. What should I wear during my massage?
You are encouraged to undress to your comfort level. You will be fully draped at all times except for the area being worked on. If you prefer to keep some clothing on, I can adjust the session to accommodate your preference.

4. Can I request specific areas to be worked on?
Absolutely. Whether you want to focus on specific areas like your back, shoulders, or legs, or prefer a full-body massage, I will tailor the session to meet your needs. We’ll discuss this before the session begins.

5. What’s the difference between deep tissue and Swedish massage?
Swedish massage uses gentle, flowing strokes to promote relaxation and relieve tension. Deep tissue massage targets deeper layers of muscle and fascia, making it ideal for relieving chronic tension or muscle pain. We can decide which is best for you based on your needs.

6. How should I prepare for my massage?
It’s helpful to be well-hydrated before your session. Wear comfortable clothing and, if possible, prepare to spend a few minutes to discuss goals and needs. If you’ve had a workout or are sweaty, it’s a good idea to shower beforehand.

7. What if I feel uncomfortable during the massage?
Your comfort is my top priority. If at any time you feel uncomfortable with the pressure, technique, or any other aspect of the session, please let me know, and I’ll make adjustments.

8. Can I combine different massage techniques in one session?
Yes! I can combine techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, cupping, and stretching, depending on what you need. We’ll discuss your preferences at the start of your session.

9. How long do the benefits of a massage last?
The effects of a massage can last up to weeks, depending on your body's condition and how regularly you receive massages. I’ll also provide tips and recommendations to help you extend the benefits into your daily routine.

10. Can I talk during the massage?
It’s completely up to you. Some clients prefer silence to fully relax, while others enjoy talking. This is your time, so let me know what makes you feel most comfortable.
